Geraldine Mae Hall Coons, 84, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, November 19 at 10:59 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Anna Elkins, in Benton.

Geraldine was born June 2, 1929 in Birdsville to the late Roy and Ora Hall. She was baptized as a Jehovah Witness. During her working years, she was employed with the Paducah Shirt Company and The Florsheim Shoe Factory. After retirement she became an avid quilter, creating many beautiful quilts. She will be remembered as one of the kindest and most caring persons you could ever meet.

She is survived by her daughters, Anna Elkins and husband Ted, of Benton, Peggy Richards and husband David of Melber; her sister, Maggie Edmonds and husband Bill, of Smithland; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Albert J. Coons; her parents, Roy Hall and Ora Mae Carrol Hall; four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner and Orr Funeral Homes. Burial followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Revs. Encil Edmonds and Mike Hunt officiated.
