Elder Arlie Levi Larimer, 95, of Benton passed away Sunday, September 8 at the Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City.

He was born Tuesday, October 9, 1917 in Benton. He was the son of the late John Horace Larimer and the late Cora (Walker) Larimer. He was ordained into the ministry in 1954, preaching for 59 years and was currently the Pastor of the Original Mt. Moriah Primative Baptist Church in Calvert City.

Surviving are his wife of 73 years, Mary (Gillihan) Larimer of Calvert City, one son, Don Larimer, wife Freda of Calvert City, one daughter, Dianne Stice, husband Tom of Calvert City; seven grandchildren; Todd Larimer of Calvert City, Brett Larimer of Paducah, Brandon Larimer of Calvert City, David English of Benton, Mark English of Almo, Rechelle Turner of Murray, Anna Rebecca Larimer of Calvert City, and Tonya Parrott of Reidland, and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Dolph Larimer and three sisters; Hattie Mae Smith, Gertrude Harper and Marguerite McHenry.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11 in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton. Elder Gary Wallace and David Elliott officiated. Interment followed the service in the Fooks Cemetery, Benton.
