Mrs. Vivian Pauline Parker, 79 of Benton, passed away Friday, August 9, at her home. Born Friday, March 7, 1934 in Columbus, GA, she was a retired bookkeeper and loving mother and homemaker. She was a member of Hardin Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Clayton Parker wife Terry of Gilbertsville, two daughters, Sharon Wynn, husband Jimmy of Benton, and Jo Humphrey, husband Greg of Reidland, brothers, Perry Floyd of Columbus, Ga., Lamar Floyd of Columbus, Ga. and A.J. Floyd of Columbus, Ga., sisters, Louise Perry of Warren, Mich., Joan Sparks of Opelika, Ala. and Janice Hill of Apopka, Fla., nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Morris Parker, her daughter, Patricia Yvonne Stockhaus, Yvonne’s husband Gary, her father, Alto Floyd, and mother, Mattie Lou (Wilson) Floyd.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton. Rev. Corey Cunningham officiated. Interment followed the service in the New Zion Cemetery, Benton.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the New Zion Cemetery Fund, 2796 Wadesboro Rd., South, Benton, KY 42025.
