Jake Davis, 83, of Benton passed away at 3:58 a.m. Saturday, July 27 at the Calvert City Convalescent Center.

Jake was the owner of Jake’s Tire Service for many years, and a taxidermist. He was a member of the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church, and a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Partin Davis of Benton; his daughters, Zatchryn Kim Wells and Wanda Culp both of Benton his son, Jan Davis of Mayflower, Ark.; six grandchildren, Jake Davis, Josh Davis, John Davis, Raschel Culp Adams, Jared Wells and Leeandra Wells; two brothers, J.C. Davis of Sidney, Ohio and J.B. Davis of Gilbertsville and two sisters, Beatrice Powers of Frakes and Mary Edith Davis of Jellico, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jason Davis and his parents were Robert Davis and Lily Lambdin Davis.

Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, July 29 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Provine Cemetery.
