Lowell Vernon “Bubby” Henson, 92 of Benton died on Wednesday, July 3, at Marion VA Hospital in Marion, Illinois. He was retired as a Chief Chemist for Pittsburgh Metallurgical and served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Henson graduated from Murray State University and was of the Baptist Faith.

Born May 13, 1921, he was the son of the late Cordie Henson and the late Mattie Tatum Henson.

Surviving are brothers, Buel Henson of Benton and Wayne Henson of Benton, sister, Madeline McDermott of Benton and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceeded in death by his parents and sister, Louise King.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5 at Collier Funeral Chapel. Rev. Bob Wiley officiated

Interment with Military Honors followed in Dunn Cemetery, Benton.
