Cecil Bell, 82, Paducah, died at 3:13 p.m.Wednesday, April 10, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Cecil worked as a machinist for Illinois Central Railroad and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps where he received a Bronze Star in the Korean War. He attended Heartland Worship Center in Paducah.

Cecil is survived by his wife Doris Gower Bell; his son, Terry Bell and wife Kim; his grandson, Justin Bell, all of Paducah; two sisters, Dorothy Almond and husband Norman of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Lucy Midyett and husband Eddie of Paducah.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Iantha McNeeley and Lugene Bell; and his brother Jim Bell. His parents were Dewey Bell and Vadis Peck Bell.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 13, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory. Bro. Paul Hatcher officiated. Burial followed with military rites in the Jackson-Starks Cemetery.
