Mayme Sue Ross, 83, Paducah, died Wednesday, March 20, at 5:09 a.m. at Baptist Health Paducah.

Sue was a dedicated member of Lone Oak Church of Christ where she managed the Sharing Center (clothing room) for the church. She was a 1947 graduate of Lone Oak High School and a Kentucky Colonel. She was retired from McCracken County Schools where she served as cafeteria manager at Concord Elementary School for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Billy Ross; two daughters, Kara Jane Sollitto, Lone Oak, and Kathy Sue Rogers, husband Ricky, Benton; two sons, Robert Winfred Ross, Deerfield, Fla., Ronald Lee Ross, wife April, Ripley, Va.; one sister, Faye Parrish, Smithland; 10 grandchildren, Ryan Rogers and wife Emily, Amy Edwards and husband Brian, Phillip Sollitto and wife Whitney, Michael Sollitto, Amanda Ross, Brooks Ross, Lisa Ross, Crista Ross Williams, Alice Ross and Katie Ross; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death is one son, Randall Keith Ross; one granddaughter, Julie Rogers; son-in-law, Jerry Sollitto; parents, Arthur Vanvactor and Clara Lee Harris Vanvactor; one sister, Eurith Vanvactor and one brother, Bill Vanvactor.

A funeral service was held Saturday, March 23, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Paul Wingfield and Jamie Boone officiated. Burial followed in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
