Lois Evelyn (Moore) Villeneuve, 90, Mayfield, died at home on Wednesday, March 20, at 1 p.m.

The youngest of 11 children born to David Russell Moore and Gracie Pinola (Stringer) Moore from 1901 to 1923, she was born Feb.17, 1923, and raised at the Moore homeplace in the Little Cypress Community of Marshall County. She graduated from Sharpe High School and later completed cosmetology school. She was the owner of her own beauty shop in the West Gilbertsville area for a number of years.

She is survived by her sons, Monte Dale Penney of Murray and Earl Wayne Rawls III of Mayfield, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John J. Villeneuve; daughter Sherry Lynn Penney; sisters Lena Reed Greer, Myrtle Marie Dunn, Mary Edna Inglish, Stella Margaret Jessup, Ruby Irene Bailey and Hazel Reeta Egner; and brothers Henery Thomas Moore, Joseph Willard Moore, Hughie Vernon Moore and Robert Lee Moore.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 24, in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton. Rev. Chris Moore officiated. Burial followed in the Leonard Cemetery.
