On Saturday the Marshall County Sheriff's Office extradited Cheyney L. Miller, 54, from Douglas, Wyoming.  The defendant is accused of contacting a local 14 year-old female via a social networking site.  He is alleged to have sent and received sexually explicit pictures to and from the victim.  Miller is also alleged to have continued to contact the victim via text messaging after being advised of the victim’s age by her father. 

The investigation was conducted by Lieutenant Matt Hilbrecht and led to an investigation and arrest warrant being issued on February 21 charging the defendant with Promoting a Minor under 16 years old in a sexual performance, Unlawful Transaction with a Minor second degree, and Prohibited Use of Electronic Communication System to procure a minor. 

Miller potentially faces a term of 20 years in prison.  He is currently being held in the Marshall County Detention Center on a $20,000.00 bond.

He will appear in Marshall County District Court on March 27.
