She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Myra Ross and stepmother, Sue Ross.
Mary is survived by her husband of 36 years, Harold W. Nelson; children, Janice Powell, Joyce Powell, Jimmy Powell, Joseph Powell and wife Joy, all of Calvert City, Tim Nelson and wife Jan of Knoxville, Tenn., Susan Paulette of Meridian, Ct.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bettie Barrett, Linda Allmon, Denise Truette and Jaretta Sturgell and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Sunday, March 10 at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with the Rev. Charles Sturgell officiating. A graveside service was held Monday, March 11 with Rev. Sturgell and Chaplain Ed Lemmond officiating.
