Euclid Buel Conner, 92, Benton, died on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 10 a.m., at the Marshall County Hospital in Benton.
Born Friday, Nov. 19, 1920 in Golden Pond, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Eugene Conner and the late Buena (Higgins) Conner.
He was retired from the Marshall County Road Department and proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater.
He was a member of the Olive Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 73 years, Martha Nell (York) Conner of Benton; three sons, Larry Conner, Joe Conner and Jack Conner, all of Benton; four brothers, Howard Conner of Dexter, Arlie Conner of Mayfield, Marlie Conner of Benton, and R.W. Conner of Dexter, Mo.; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Radford Conner; and one sister, Imogene Lawrence.
A funeral service was held Monday, Feb. 18 in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. Curtis Harrell officiating. Interment with military honors followed in the Horn Cemetery in Olive.
