She was a member of Symsonia United Methodist Church. She worked in the cafeteria and was a bus driver for Symsonia School.
She is survived by one son, David Lyles and wife Devona of Symsonia; her son-in-law, Leonard Chappell of Symsonia; six grandchildren, Paul Chappell, Kevin Chappell, Sharla Graham, Katrina Lyles, Heather Nicholson and Bethany Reeder, six great-grandchildren and one sister, Dee Sawyer of Paducah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, V.G. Lyles; one daughter, Carole Chappell; one son, Danny Lyles; one grandson, Brandon Lyles; two sisters, Dorothy Simmons and Ruth Frizzell; four brothers, Rex Reid, Clay Marshall Reid, Howard Reid and Tommy Reid. Her parents were Clay Irvin Reid and Gertrude McGuire Reid.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 2, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Richard Dobbs officiated. Burial followed in the Symsonia Cemetery.
