Mrs. Lunelle (Holmes) Guthrie Nickell, 94, Crestwood, died on Monday, Jan. 14, at Norton-Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.

A graduate of Murray State University with a Master of Science, with an additional 30 hours above, she taught Business at Ballard Memorial High School until her retirement.

Born Sunday, March 3, 1918 in Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe C. Holmes and the late Willie Mae (Waller) Holmes. She was the wife of the late Steele G. Guthrie and the late Reginald Nickell. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Paducah.

Surviving are her son, Mike Guthrie of Crestwood and one sister, Flora Lee Hawkins of Benton.

Funeral services were held Saturday Jan. 19, in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton.Interment followed in the Marshall County Memory Gardens, Benton.
