Two hurt in Wednesday morning fire

Two residents were taken to the Marshall County Hospital after a fire destroyed their mobile home Wednesday morning.

Melissa Combs, director of Marshall County Emergency Services did not identify the two residents. She said the fire was reported at 6:13 a.m. at the home at 48 Brook Point Road. The two people were the only people inside when the fire broke out.

The fire destroyed the home completely. Combs did not immediately know the cause of the blaze. The East Marshall Fire Department and Gilbertsville Fire Department along with Marshall County EMS responded to the blaze.
