Robert William Casey, 71, of Benton diedWednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at 7:50 pm.

A native of Centralia, Ill., he was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and worked at Shawnee Steam Plant.

He was a member of Sanctuary Church Of God in Fairdealing and served in the Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Johnston Casey; a daughter, Rebecca Bowlin of Mayfield; a stepdaughter, Andrea Sexton of Paducah; sons David Casey of Clarksville, Tenn., and Matthew Casey of Paducah; a stepson, Tyler Winslow, of Cape Coral, Fla.; sisters Marjo C. Vancil, Annalee C. O’Donley and Elaine Oehlschlaeger, all of Paducah; a sister-in-law, Shirley Casey; a brother, Walter “Mike” Casey of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, T. Paul Casey, and his parents, Thorton Casey and Marjorie Sherwood Casey.

The funeral was Sunday, Dec. 30, at the Lone Oak Chapel Of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev Albert Gaboriault officiating. Burial with military honors followed at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
