He was the son of Felix Edwards and Ella Green Edwards.
He is survived by daughters Gayla Taylor of Columbus, Neb., and Deborah Lynn Edwards of Santa Cruz, Calif., and four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Reba Sue Edwards; one brother and one sister.
The funeral will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, with David Hendrickson officiating.
Visitation will be held from noon until the funeral hour.
Interment will military honors be Wednesday, Jan. 2, at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
