Mr. Hargrove was the Second District Magistrate from 1978-1991 and the Second District Commissioner from 1991-2007. He owned and operated Hargrove’s Service Station for 35 years and was a member of Briensburg Masonic Lodge and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Juanita Augusta Barnhill Hargrove of Gilbertsville; one son, Dale Hargrove, Benton; one daughter, Meagan Hargrove Hawkins, Benton, grandchildren, Britney Hargrove, Caleb Hargrove and Stephen Hawkins all of Benton, and one great-grandson, Kasen Lewzaderof Benton.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Hargrove. His parents were Gaylen Hargrove and Mable Bean Hargrove.
Memorial services will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home & Crematory. H.W. Ford and Gary Knuckles will officiate. Friends may call from 6:00PM until the funeral hour on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home & Crematory. These arrangements were made by Gordon D.
