Born Jan. 26, 1925, he was the son of Everett Harris Sr. and Della Lively Swedenburg. He served in the U.S.Navy during World War II aboard the USS Capps DD-550. He was a member of Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church, Briensburg Masonic Lodge, and the American Legion. He received an honorary diploma from Pellville
He is survived by his sons, Frank and Richard Harris of Owensboro; daughters, Christine Cartwright of Louisville and Betty Kay Jones of Kuttawa; five grandchildren, five grea-tgrandsons; and one great-granddaughter. Avery Harris.
Preceding him in death are his wife Helen Hess Harris and a brother, George Harold Harris.
The family will receive visitors from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with memorial services to begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be to Western Kentucky Veterans Center, 926 Veterans Drive, Hanson, Ky. 42413. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
