He was born in Dallas, and raised in Paducah.
He was the son of the late Henry Richardson and Velma Ward Wynne.
A World War II veteran of the Navy, he served in the South Pacific. As a Southern Baptist minister, he pastored 13 churches, Associate Pastor of 2 churches, interim pastor of 2 churches and minister of music at one church. When he retired pastoring churches, he and Juanita joined Immanual Baptist Church in Lexington, where he taught Sunday school and served as a deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Sills Richardson; two daughters, Sharon Gilliland, Benton, and Lura Foster, Versailles; 10 grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Eugene Richardson and a daughter, Evelyn Alene.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 6, at Milward-Southland in Lexington. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Ray Gilliland will officiate and burial with full military rites will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour later that day.
