Dillard Anderson, 71 years, of Monticello, Ky., died Sunday, Sept. 23, at his home.

A native of Wayne County, he was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Ludlow. He was a musician and a Kentucky Colonel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Anderson and Mabel Troxell Anderson; a son, Eric Anderson; a brother, Herschel Anderson; and a sister, Ina Koger.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Buller Anderson of Monticello; sons Auston Anderson of Benton and Jason Anderson of Hebron, Ky.; daughters Gloria Lewis, Robin Anderson, Stephanie McCoy and Lydia DeFrancscui, all of Benton, and LeAnne Payton of Fort Worth, Texas; brothers Willard Anderson of Monticello and Paul David Anderson of Oneida, Tenn.; sisters Lozena Khulman and Annabelle Braden, both of Monticello; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home in Stearns, Ky., with Bro. Hap Strunk and Rev. Mark Sewell officiating. Burial followed in the Elk Springs Cemetery in Monticello.
