She was the daughter of Clell Burkeen and Cora Nelson Burkeen.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Travis, of Benton; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Eugene Colson; a son, Geary Colson; and several brothers and sisters.
The funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, with Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Fairdealing Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
