As play resumed at the KHSAA girls state golf tournament at Bowling Green Country Club this morning Marshall County’s Cayce Hendrickson ranked second at an even-par 72, four shots behind Calloway County’s Anna Hack.

The Lady Marshals were tied for sixth place in team standings with Elizabethtown at 347, one stroke behind Owensboro Catholic.

Calloway was second at 328 behind leader Sacred Heart, which set the pace with a 320.

Play was suspended because of darkness before completion of first-round play Tuesday. All five Marshall County players completed the opening round before the suspension.

Those who had not finished the first 18 holes were to begin play at 7 a.m. After cuts are determined, second-round play will commence.

Trailing Hack and Hendrickson on the individual leader board were Maddie Hamilton of Sacred Heart and Chau Tran of Mercy, both tied at 73. Also at one-over was Lydia Gumm of North Hardin, whose score reflected her play through the 12th hole.

Other Lady Marshals and their scores were Bailey Tyree, in a group of seven tied for 13th place a 79; Charlstyn Beard, in a group of four at 95; Devan Doss, tied with three others at 101; and Ashley McKenty, tied with three others at 107.
