Judy Smith, 66, of Calvert City died Tuesday, Sept. 25 at home.

A member of Calvert City Church of Christ, she was retired after a 30-year teaching career.

She received a B.A. degree from the University of Louisville and an M.A. degree from Murray State University. She was a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association and Alpha Delta Kappa, an organization for women educators.

She is survived by her husband: David Earl Smith Sr. of Calvert City; daughter Dr. Julie Robertson of Johnson City, Tenn; son Dr. David E. Smit, Jr. of Paducah; brothers Harold "Sammy" Jones of Princeton and Donald W. Jones of Nashville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, four nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold "Sam" Jones and Lillian Creekmur Jones.

The funeral service will be at Calvert City Church of Christ Sunday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. with Lance Cordle officiating. Interment will follow at Calvert City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 29.
