MURRAY – The Lady Marshals golf team qualified for the state tournament for the second straight year with a runner-up finish in the First Region tournament Monday at Murray Country Club.

It was the second year in a row that Marshall County finished second to Calloway County.

Marshall County carded a team score of 330, nine strokes behind Calloway and medalist Anna Hack, who blistered the course with a five-under-par 67.

Cayce Hendrickson led the team with a 76, tying Paducah Tilghman’s Teri Doss for second place in individual standings. Doss won a one-hole playoff to decide the runner-up spot.
