Tate Eaves shot a 74 to lead Marshall County to victory in the Muhlenberg Invitational at Central City Country Club Saturday.
The victory in a field of 21 teams sends the Marshals into a week of preparation for region tournament action next week at Paxton Park in Paducah.
Heath’s Chad Bebehani took medalist honors with a 71, followed by T.J. Ferry of Christian County at 73.
The Marshals had a team total of 312, outdistancing second-place Henderson County. The Colonels were eight strokes behind at 320.
Owensboro Catholic was third at 322.
The Marshals placed three players in the top 10 individuals.
Henderson County placed second in the team competition with 320 and Owensboro Cathlic placed third with a 322.
On Sept. 10, the Marshals recorded a 10-stroke victory over Trigg County in a dual match at Boots Randolph Golf Course in Cadiz.
Travis Griffith and Eaves both shot 38 to lead the Marshals to a 156-166 win.
