Gilbert Wayne Filbeck, 75, of Benton, died Saturday, Sept. 8, at his home.

He was a member of the Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a self-employed contractor.

Son of Hoy Gilbert Filbeck and the late Marion Kay King Filbeck, he is survived by a daughter, Eva Mae Filbeck Hubbard of Benton; sons Darrell Wayne Filbeck of Benton and Hoye Filbeck of Smithland; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Kay Filbeck Triplett, and a brother; Larry Richard Filbeck.

Visitation will be from 5 to9 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home in Benton. The funeral service will be Monday, Sept. 10, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will abe at Brewers Cemetery.
