Mr. Hoover owned his own auto body repair business.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War era and an American Legion member.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Barnhill Hoover; his mother, JoAnn Hildreth Butler of Paducah; son Jason Hoover of Sharpe; stepson Luke Inglish of Benton; sister Brenda Tinsley of Grand Rivers; two grandchildren; a niece and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Raymond Hoover.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Jerry Hoover officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
