Mr. Garland was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis (Smith) Garland of Benton; his wife, Cathy (Haley) Garland of Benton; daughter Ami Freeman of Benton; stepdaughter Tammy Hayes of Paducah; son Jarod Garland of Benton; stepson Tim Mathis of Mayfield; sister Pam Loveless of Benton; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby J. Garland.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home.
Graveside funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 2, at 9 a.m. in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Benton. Dr. Gary Boggess will officiate.
