The Marshall County Sheriff's office conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 68 on 70-year-old Eugene Willis, of Paducah. During the stop, they recovered multiple pill bottles in the center console of Willis' vehicle. One of the bottles of controlled substance was dated August 26, 2011. They also located 2 Oxycontin pills in the back seat of the vehicle.
Willis told police he had been to the home of Dorris R. Knick, 71, of Benton. They went to Willis' home and recovered money from the purchase of Lortab from Knick.
Willis also told police he was dropping off pills to other people.
Willis was charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance, 2nd degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree.
Knick was charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 2nd degree. Both were lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
