Archie T. Griggs, 61 of Calvert City, was walking on the travel portion of the southbound lane when a car driven by Kyle R. Clark, 26, of Calvert City came around a curve at Salyer Creek and struck him.
Griggs was pronounced dead at the scene by the Marshall County Coroner.
Griggstown was closed for a short time while the accident was investigated.
