He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Crane, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a truck driver with Orr Trucking.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Kennedy Waters of Marion, one son, Robert “Bobby” Waters, Jr. of Princeton; three daughters, Ashley Lampley of Ledbetter, Judy Davis of Providence, and Amanda Kennedy of Scottsville, two sisters, Larene Croft of Salem, and Ruth Rogers of Marion, four grandchildren, Angela, Bambi, Bobby and Ronnie; seven great grandchildren; Austin, Garrett, Johnny, Gracie, Chandler, Isaac and Ashlyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin “Buster” Waters and Beulah Lee Dickerson Waters and three brothers, Gene Waters, Thomas Waters and Gary Wayne Waters.
There will be no visitation or funeral services. Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
