Emma Lou Thompson of Benton, passed away at 10:47a.m. July 13 at her daughter’s home in Draffenville.

She was a retired pharmacy assistant for J & R Pharmacy in Benton where she had worked for over 36 years. She was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Bryant and Charletta Travis both of Benton, one sister, Mary Lee Bogard of Murray, four grandchildren, Kim Teckenbrock Mullican, Clint Smith, Travis Peck and Emily Peck; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Hubert Thompson, Wilson Thompson and James Howard Thompson; and four sisters, Pinkie Poole, Nellie Lovett, Reba Lovett and Lola Darnall. Her parents were James Grant Thompson and Georgia Ann Wilson Thompson.

Arrangements were handled by Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Rev. Kyle Reeder officiated. Interment was in the Brewers Cemetery.
