Jerry W. Grigson, 65, of Calvert City, died Saturday, June 16, at his home.

Born January 15, 1947 in Maysville, he was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a sorter. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam where he was wounded while trying to save the life of a fallen Marine, he received the Purple Heart medal.

He was the son of the late Clarence Richard Grigson and the late Ruth (Mineer) Grigson.

He is survived by his son Brandon Grigson of Calvert City, three brothers, Richard A. Grigson of Maysville, Kenny Grigson of Northern Ill., and Bobby Grigson of Mason Co., and one sister, Carolyn Darnall of Maysville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lisa Kim (Idol) Grigson.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.

Memorial services are scheduled for a later date in Maysville, KY.
