At around 7 a.m. William "Billy" Evans, 50, of Benton was traveling westbound on U.S. 68 on his motorcycle. A truck driven by 45 year-old John Hollis of Benton turned left onto U.S. 641 in front of him. Hollis told police he did not see Evans.
Evans was transported to Western Baptist Hospital. The extent of his injuries is not known at this time.
Officer Brett Edwards of the Marshall County Sheriff's office worked the accident. He was assisted at the scene by the Marshall County Ambulance Service and the Palma Fire Department.
