Chancie P. Langston 79, of Benton, died April 6, at Calvert City Convalescent Center.

Mr. Langston retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie Rose Frizzell Langston of Benton; 1 daughter, Carolyn Braswell of Hopkinsville; two sons, Harold Pat Langston and Terry Langston both of Benton; one sister, Shelby Jean Jackson of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Jerry Wayne Langston of Melber, and Leon Dodge of Paducah; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Lind Lou Tapscott; three brothers, Ross Langston; Frank Langston and Jimmy Langston; and his parents, Toy Langston and Opal Dodge Langston.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 8, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Pete Smith officiated and burial with Military Rites followed in the Benton Cemetery.
