James A. Greenwell, Sr., 75, of Gilbertsville, died February 28, 2012 at his daughter’s home.

Mr. Greenwell attended Kentucky Lake Mission Church. He was a retired pipefitter and welder from Stauffer Chemical and a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by two sons, Rev. Jim Greenwell of Gilbertsville, and Rick Greenwell of St. John, Ind.; two daughters, Laurie Camp of Crown Point, Ind. and Sue Littig of Gilbertsville; one sister, Mary Ryan of Glen Rock, Wyo.; one brother, Charles “Chuck” Greenwell of Ark.; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Marie Draper Greenwell; his second wife, Beverly A. Hirschuber Greenwell and his parents were Albert J. Greenwell and Eva P. Allie Greenwell.

Memorial services were held Thursday, March 1, at Kentucky Lake Mission. Rev. Danny Holt officiated. Burial was held March 2, at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Ind. with Rev. Jim Greenwell officiating.
