Edrie and her husband owned and operated Hancock’s Grocery in Palma for many years. She was a member of the North Marshall Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Glenda Kay Dye and Sue Kathryn Sutton both of Paducah; one son, David Ronald Hancock of Chapel Hill, Tenn; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Woodrow Hancock; 6 sisters; and 3 brothers. Her parents were Edd Marion Dunn and Effie Caroline English Dunn.
Funeral services were held February 27, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory. Gary Knuckles officiated, and burial followed in the Sharpe Cemetery.
