Mr. Boyd worked as a supervisor in the carpenter shop at the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville, Ind. He was a member of Aurora Christian Church in Aurora, and member of Butlerville Masonic Lodge #219 in Butlerville, Ind.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Boyd of Benton; four sons, Gordon Boyd of Knoxville, Tenn., Marshall Boyd and Andy Boyd both of Butlerville, Ind., and Wes Boyd of Zenas, Ind.; one daughter, Marlene Oursler of Warren, Ind.; three brothers, Ronald Boyd of Murray, Dale Boyd of Butlerville, Ind. and Fred Boyd of Austin, Ind.; one sister, Sheila Holbrook of Austin, Ind.; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Gladys Casey Boyd; two brothers, Terry and Paul Boyd.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on February 23, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, Ind. with the Rev. Jack Suits officiating. Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Wednesday, February 22, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday, A Masonic Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. February 22, at the Funeral Home by members of Butlerville Masonic Lodge #219. . Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, Indiana.
