Mr. Montgomery was a retired meat cutter, a US Army veteran, and a member of the Sanctuary Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Jayne Montgomery; two sons, Randy Montgomery of Benton and Rickie Montgomery of Burna; two daughters, Renita “Sissy” Montgomery of Tiline and Becky Hageman of Dexter; two sisters,Phyllis Ann Gipson and Ethel Vada Boone, both of Tiline; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Roger Glenn Montgomery; one sister, and one great-granddaughter. His parents were T. E. and Wilma Montgomery.
Services were held Monday at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland, with Rev. Albert Gaboriault officiating. Burial followed at Leeper Cemetery in Tiline.
