Duane had worked as a welder in a steel mill. He had also been the owner of the Wagon Wheel Restaurant.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Jongsma George of Smithland; five daughters, Diane Paca of Calif.; Rosemarie Madragis of the Philippines; Barbara Pace of Poseyville, Ind.; Wanda Greenwell of Gilbertsville; Brenda Moore of Princeton, Ind. and one son, Ronald Harness of Cynthiana, Ind.; one brother, Robert George of Phoenix, Ariz.; one aunt, Arlene Clark of Lowell, Ind.; sixteen grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond George and Myrtle Lohse George.
Memorial services will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, Ind. Bro. Jim Greenwell will officiate. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour on Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home. Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of local arrangements.
