She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She was a rural mail carrier for the United States Post Office for many years.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Cope of Benton; her son, Eddie Wood of Auburndale, Fla.; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister, Linda Wray of Mayfield, and one brother, James “Pete” Stone of Detroit,Mich.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Edwin Wood; four brothers; and two sisters. Her parents were Bill Stone and Cora Cole Stone.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory. Bro. Mark Mohler and Bro. David Brasher will officiate and burial will follow in the Cole Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. February 15, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home & Crematory.
