They were married in Mayfield by county Judge Allen W. Cloar. Attendants were the groom’s sister Dorothy L. Smith and her husband, Hurshel L. Smith.
Gerald is the son of the late William Henry Hollan and the late Mavis Wyatt Hollan. He is retired after 37 years from Caterpillar Tractor Company in East Peoria, Ill.
Patsy is the daughter of the late Diseral Sanderson and the late Ester Lee Rogers Sanderson. She has been a homemaker since the couple was wed.
Gerald and Patsy have 7 children, Patricia Lee Shaw of Peoria, Ill., Gerald W. Hollan Jr. of Washington Ill., the late Carla J. Johnson. Jerry L. Carroll of Hardin, William A. Hollan of Marquette Heights, Ill., Richard W. Hollan of Farmington, and Crystal R. Fortman of Morton, Ill.
They have seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
