A one vehicle accident in the 2200 block of U.S. Highway 641 North near Marshall County High School resulted in a brief closure of a portion of the road earlier this morning.
A car apparently ran off the roadway and struck a gas line before coming to rest in a ditch.
We currently have no information on injuries to the driver of the vehicle.
According to Kelly Collins, Benton Gas manager, a crew is currently on the scene repairing the line and there is no danger to anyone in the area.
The roadway reopened a short time ago.
