Rev. James O. Lively, 91, of Draffenville died Jan. 11 at Lakeway Nursing Center in Benton.

Mr. Lively was an ordained minister of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a member of Covenant Presbytery. He served in the United States Army with the 1st, 8th, 12th, and 2nd Armored Divisions during World War II. He earned many awards and medals during this time.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Louella Basham Lively; one daughter, Marlene Shadowen of Benton; three sons, Stephen Lively of Owensboro, Noel Lively of Crestwood, and James W. Lively of Greeneville, Tenn.; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Artelia Patterson Lively of Breckinridge County; an infant son, Donnie William Lively; three sisters, Marie De Witt, Lorine Robbins, and Della Harris; and five brothers, Jack Lively, John Lively, Arthur Lively, Joseph Lively, and Woodrow Lively.

Funeral services were held at the Collier Funeral Chapel, Benton, Rev. Charles Westfall, Rev. Wendell Ordway, and Rev. James W. Lively officiated.

Graveside Funeral Service was held at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Irvington.
