He was of the Methodist Faith, and served his country during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. King was one of the original owners of King Brothers Supermarket.
He was the son of the late Otto King and the late Gertrude (Aker) King.
He is survived by his wife, June (Morgan) King; one daughter, Tonya Stroup, of Gilbertsville; one son, Steve King, of Symsonia; 7 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Derril King, Hyman King, Ryan King, and McClain King.
Funeral services were held at Collier Funeral Chapel on January 9. Rev. Alfred Anderson and Earnest Phillips officiated.
Interment followed at Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, in Benton.
