The first call involved an off-duty Oak Grove Police officer on
Interstate 24 near the 29-mile marker. The officer clipped a maroon SUV while both were traveling eastbound. Both the SUV and cruiser traveled off the roadway before coming to rest near the treeline. The Kentucky State Police, Marshall County Sheriff's Department and Gilbertsville Fire Department responded. While EMS was on scene, no injuries were reported.
The second call came just after noon. A silver sedan was attempting to merge from the Purchase Parkway, but ran off the on-ramp. The vehicle rolled over before coming to a rest on its side.
