Paul worked at B.F. Goodrich, and was the owner of Gateway Lanes in Draffenville. He was the author of “Never to Return” a nostalgic look at his beloved Marshall County. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Reid Dotson of Benton; one step-son, Garry Lee Hicks of Benton; one sister, Jackie Fields of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Collie; and one brother, James Murel Dotson. His parents were Jamie Dotson and Anous Baker Dotson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. (today) December 20, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home & Crematory. Bro. Joe D. Thorn will officiate and burial will follow in the Marshall County Memory Gardens.
