On Monday Marshall Co. Deputies responded to a complaint of a residential burglary on Minter Rd. The victim told Deputies that someone had entered his home and stole a washer and dryer and other items valued at over $1500.00. The victim also stated that he had previously installed a trail camera pointing toward the direction of the house that is commonly used by hunters. The trail camera was able to show two unknown males entering the residence and taking the washer and dryer and then loading it into their truck. On Wednesday Marshall County Detective Dan Melone, working in conjunction with members of McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, was able identify the suspects involved in the burglary. Arrest warrants for Burglary 2nd Degree and Theft by Unlawful Taking over $500 were issued through Marshall District Court for Jamie T. Brown, age 34 of Paducah and Rex Daniel Story III, 24, of Paducah. Det. Dan Melone was able to locate Jamie Brown in Ledbetter, Ky. Livingston County Sheriff Office and Kentucky State Police were asked to assist and responded to Mr. Brown’s location. When officers arrived Mr. Brown was in the process of stealing a catalytic converter from a parked minivan. Mr. Brown was arrested and transferred to McCracken County Sheriff’s Office where detectives served the arrest warrants. Rex Daniel Story was later located at his home in Paducah and taken into custody. Both Suspects are current being held in McCracken County Detention. The investigation is continuing.
