She is survived by her husband, Gene Phillips, Benton; three daughters, Julie Phillips, Tullahoma, Tenn., Janie Turner, Benton, Marcie Nance, Nashville, Tenn.; two sons, John Phillips, Reidland, Charlie Phillips, Benton; two sisters, Katherine Hearn, Odessa, Mo, Marge Story, San Anjelo, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Casey Phillips; brother, James Lee Shemwell; and parents, Rex Shemwell and Lura (Prior) Shemwell.
Funeral services were held at Collier Funeral Chapel Saturday, October 29. Jim Phillips officiated.
Interment followed at Smith Cemetery, in Benton.
