Paul Emil Mohme, died October 23. He served in the U.S. Army, was an Illinois Bell Lineman for 36 years, and earned his Sea Captain’s license in 2004.

Surviving are his wife, Carol (Forsythe) Mohme of Benton, one son, Paul “Dave” Mohme, Wycondale, Ohio, seven daughters: Jane Bushnell, Wycondale, Ohio, Shari Henderson, Collinsville, Ill., Kay Waldram, Collinsville, Ill., Laurie Harizal, Owasso, Okla., Rebecca Mohme, Collinsville, Ill., Amy Mohme, Collinsville, Ill., and Lisa Minor Kohanski; sixteen grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Services were held October 30, at 12:00 p.m. at the Cherokee Park in Aurora.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (Burk) Mohme; father, Emil Mohme; mother, Ruanna (Clayton) Mohme; and brother, Charles Mohme.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Republican National Committee, 310 First St. SE, Washington, DC 20002.
